Bright Farms is making rooftop greenhouses at or near supermarkets to grow lettuce and tomatos. Supermarkets sign a 10 year contract and at no charge for installation Bright Farms builds the greenhouse and the supermarket agrees to sell the lettuce and tomatos at prices at the cost of inflation and no greater, unlike other forces of nature that might drive prices up. One of the farms is being installed at McCaffrey’s in Yardley, PA. The gardens will eliminate the lengthy, costly trips from places like California and Florida and save the consumer money while providing much fresher produce.
