Blondell Reynolds Brown, Councilwoman on Philadelphia City Council, as a former 3rd grade teacher, gave the attendees at the September 7 SHALE GAS OUTRAGE Rally an assignment to write to your representative from your head and heart on the issue of hydraulic fracturing or natural gas fracking. Blondell emphasized that fracking is a matter of public health, it negatively impacts the quality of air and water as seen in other states like Wyoming and in parts of our state of Pennsylvania. Individualized letter writing from voting constituents is one of the most effective ways to influence elected officials. Now is the time to influence the vote coming up on November 21 to stop drilling of the Delaware. We’ll be sending letters in a water bottle.
